Zsölyke+ Upholstery remnants don’t need to end up in landfills

My name is Dóri, and I’m a furniture upholsterer.
I started the Zsölyke+ brand because I was so overwhelmed by all the fabric I had stored in my apartment that I couldn’t even move… Well, okay, that’s not entirely true. So here’s how it started: when I began working as an upholsterer, it broke my heart to see that even though we always try to cut fabric efficiently, in most cases we end up with scraps that are too small for us to work with - they wouldn’t be enough to reupholster a chair or armchair. For a while, I watched as these scraps ended up in the trash, and then, little by little, I started taking them home. Because there’s too much beautiful fabric, and even more space covered in waste. I hope that, through my work, I, too, can contribute a little to recycling and reducing waste. I make accessories, but what exactly is being created in the workshop often depends on how much fabric - and what sizes -I can get my hands on.
