Honora - Take Your Uniqueness With You!

My name is Honória, and I’m the founder, designer, and creator of the Honora bag brand. Twenty-five years ago, when I was still a young teenager, I designed - and my mom sewed - my first upcycled woven bag, which we made using clothes I no longer needed at home and scraps of fabric left over from sewing projects. 

As the years have gone by, my interest in bags hasn’t waned; even today, I love pieces that are unique - eye-catching without being flashy, yet still add a little something extra to an outfit. I created Honora so that I could not only make these pieces for myself, but also make them available to others. 

I now make the Upcycled bags myself; when designing them, my two guiding principles are a distinctive look and practicality. Their unique appearance comes from the woven elements, which are made by reusing textiles that have become surplus - and in some cases, materials considered waste - in order to reduce waste, thereby helping to extend the life cycle of these materials and minimize their environmental impact.

When designing bags, I always start with the specific material that’s currently availablyits characteristics, texture, color, and the kind of woven element that can be created from it.
I believe that a bag is more than just a practical accessory. It complements your outfit, boosts your confidence, and reveals a little bit of who you are.  

Each Honora Upcycled bag is made as a one-of-a-kind piece; my goal is to ensure that the bag I create belongs exclusively to its future owner - reflecting their values, individuality, wardrobe, and both inner and outer sense of style.
